Dr Faheem Arshad is Assistant Professor of Neurology at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru India, with a focused interest in neurological disorders, particularly dementia. He has specialized training in cognitive neurology, having received advanced training at the Global Brain health institute (GBHI) as an Atlantic fellow of equity in Brain Health at University of California, San Francisco, USA. This international experience expanded his research interests to include neurogenetics, biomarkers, and clinical trials related to dementia. His clinical insights have significantly shaped his research focus, which centers on identifying modifiable risk factors for dementia and exploring preventive and therapeutic strategies. This work aims to unravel the mechanisms that underlie neurodegeneration, with a long-term goal of developing effective, disease modifying treatments.
