Dr. Subasree R is Additional Professor of Neurology at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, with over 12 years of experience in cognitive neurology. Her clinical and research interests span behavioral and cognitive neurology, dementia, stroke, cerebral venous thrombosis, and non-invasive brain-computer interfaces and their clinical applications. She has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of young-onset and reversible dementias, normal pressure hydrocephalus, and neurodegenerative dementias including Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal dementia, with particular interest in the crossroads of stroke and cognition and in genetically mediated dementias. Dr. Subasree's research also extends to the genetics of dementia and to cognitive rehabilitation using brain-computer interfaces. She has guided or co-guided more than 15 DM Neurology residents and remains actively involved in cognitive neurology awareness and educational initiatives, including public talks and outreach programs.
