📢 First CNA Conference – 20th, 21st & 22nd Nov 2026, Bengaluru
We are delighted to announce the Second Annual Summit of the Cognitive Neurology Association (CNA) on 20th, 21st & 22nd November 2026, at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) — one of India's premier institutions for neurological and mental health sciences, set in the heart of Bengaluru

This year's summit marks a landmark moment for dementia care in India, as disease-modifying therapies for Alzheimer's disease move from clinical trials into real-world practice. The programme brings together leading neurologists, researchers, and care professionals from India and across the world to discuss the latest advances in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. With an ageing population and rapidly evolving science, there has never been a more exciting time to be part of this field.

Join us in disseminating knowledge, fostering collaborations, and shaping the future of dementia care — welcoming neurologists, clinicians, researchers, psychologists, neuroscientists, and research scholars from across the country and beyond.

How did the journey of CNA start?

India would experience a steady rise in number of person living with dementia (PwD) in coming years. Also, the need for trained cognitive neurologists to provide care for the rising number of dementia patients is increasing. So, we need to train neurologists on cognitive neurology and spread awareness about the disease in the community. We still do not have modern diagnostic tests available in our country including CSF and imaging biomarkers. But, as new drugs are becoming available and soon to be introduced in the country in next few years, our preparedness towards this is crucial. In coming decades, we believe, Indian cognitive neurologists can lead the research in this region and the world. Therefore, we are at the crossroad, we must take our next step forward to form an association to help achieve our goal. We think time is appropriate to form an association of cognitive neurologists in this country.
